Care Instructions

Custom t-shirts are more than just clothing, they’re personal statements, artworks, and keepsakes. Ensuring they remain in pristine condition is crucial, whether you’ve just added one to your collection or you’re in the business of selling them like us. Proper care not only guarantees longevity but also maintains vibrant prints and fabric quality.

We’ve curated the best practices to keep custom t-shirts looking their best, even after countless adventures. Dive into our comprehensive care guide to understand the essential steps for t-shirt durability and longevity.

Washing

  • Turn your shirt inside out before washing – this protects the print from friction
  • Wash with cold water only (max. 30°C / 86°F)
  • Use a delicate/gentle cycle (approx. 600 rpm, max. 800 rpm)
  • Use a mild detergent – harsh detergents can cause the print to fade
  • No fabric softener – it damages the print layer
  • No bleach (if absolutely necessary, use non-chlorine bleach only)
  • No dry cleaning
  • Always wash lights and darks separately

Drying

  • Keep the shirt inside out while drying
  • Air drying is the gentlest and recommended method
  • If using a dryer, use the lowest heat setting only
  • Avoid over-drying – it can cause shrinkage and cracking of the print

Ironing

  • Keep the shirt inside out and never iron directly over the print
  • Iron on a low temperature setting only

Storage

  • Store t-shirts folded or rolled rather than hung – hanging can stretch the neckline
  • Keep away from direct sunlight, as UV exposure can fade the print over time

Removing Stains

  • Act fast: gently blot the stain with a clean cloth – do not rub
  • For light stains: apply a little soap and rinse with cold water
  • For tough stains: apply a stain remover, hydrogen peroxide, or white vinegar directly to the stain
  • Soak the shirt in cold water for 15 minutes, then wash as normal or rinse again and air dry

Note on First Wash

New shirts may have a slightly sour smell or show a faint discoloration or whitish residue after delivery – this is completely normal and will disappear after the first wash.
